Frequently Asked Questions

We truly can’t emphasize enough that our team is here to help you, even when it comes to finding answers to small questions pertaining to your oral health. Whether you want to learn more about the cost of your care or you’re unsure if you need to come in for a same-day appointment, we encourage you to call us with any questions you have. Otherwise, you can read through this next section to learn the answers to FAQs!

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

If you think you can’t afford a dentist, talk to your dental team directly before simply forgoing essential dental care. There’s a good chance they offer financial solutions – from dental insurance to flexible financing – which can help lower your out-of-pocket expenses significantly. Remember, every dollar invested in preventive dentistry can save you between $8 and $50 on restorative and cosmetic care over time. So, the best choice for your wallet (as well as the health, appearance, and function of your smile) is to get the dental care you need sooner rather than later.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Claremore?

Like any dental treatment, the cost of your checkup and cleaning can vary depending on several factors. One noteworthy one is if you are insured. If so, your dental insurance provider may cover a large portion (if not all) of the cost. If you’re looking for a general price range, however, then it may be helpful to know that the national average is $200 to $350. Again, if you have any questions about the cost of your care or you’d like to get a specific estimate of the price, don’t hesitate to give our team a call so we can help.

How do I get emergency dental care?

Even minor dental emergencies can be stressful to handle, especially if you are in pain. We recommend giving us a call as soon as you can so we can learn more about your symptoms and determine what the next best steps are. For example, if you have a small chip on your tooth, then you may be able to wait a day or two for treatment. If, on the other hand, one of your teeth has been completely knocked-out, then we need to schedule your treatment within the next hour.

Note: if you’re experiencing any potentially life-threatening symptoms in tandem with your dental injury, such as difficulty swallowing or trouble breathing, then head to the ER immediately.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

The journey to becoming a licensed dentist requires years of schooling, starting with an undergraduate degree (which is usually in a major that’s heavy in math and science). The next step is to be accepted to one of 67 accredited dental schools in the U.S. before completing three years of classroom and hands-on training. At this point, they will earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS). To maintain their license, they need to pursue continuing education annually. That way, they are always abreast of the latest technology and techniques.
